Nokuthula Hlophe works for Eswatini Communications Commission, the regulator for data protection, cybersecurity, and the electronic communications in Eswatini, as the Assistant Director Cybersecurity. She leads a team that is responsible for coordinating national cybersecurity matters and tracking the National Cybersecurity Roadmap in line with the national strategic goals and applicable laws. She manages the computer incident response team (CIRT), develops plans to coordinate activities that improve the security posture of the country, ensuring that the country and its citizens know how to spot and respond to cyber threats.

Nokuthula also has over 15 years work experience in various aspects of IT, including infrastructure and desktop support, networking, system administration, database management, project management and IT risk management and compliance. Over the years, Nokuthula has been exposed to the manufacturing, banking, and telecommunications industries.
