Lawrence Muchilwa is a cybersecurity diplomat, incident response expert, and researcher with extensive experience supporting national CSIRTs and government teams across Africa. With over a decade of leadership as a senior consultant, trainer, and subject-matter expert, he has worked at the intersection of cyber operations, policy, and capacity building—shaping cyber readiness strategies for both national and sectoral teams. As a cybersecurity diplomat, he engages globally to bridge technical and policy communities, helping African states position themselves strategically in emerging areas such as AI governance, AI abuse, and cyber capacity development.
He regularly speaks at international conferences and continues to advise governments on strategies for building resilient, AI-ready national cybersecurity capabilities.
